Summer Solstice Party 2017

Pigment is a series of Southern California retail stores specializing in color-curated items from both local and international vendors.

The Summer Solstice Party is an annual event Pigment throws for its local community to celebrate the longest day of the year. This year, it also aligned with the store’s 10-year anniversary. The North Park community, where the event was held, is vital to Pigment because it is where Pigment was first born in 2007.

Pigment wanted to create brand identity for the Summer Solstice Party event that included marketing, signage, and merchandise.

The concept for this year’s Summer Solstice Party was influenced by Southern California, 70’s summer camp, ringer tees, and good vibes. The colors were Pigment’s take on the classic rainbow. The fonts were inspired by vintage designs. This branding carried across the web banner, email, instagram post, heat transfer designs, enamel pins, and the 8’ rainbow lemonade sign.

The Solstice Party offered a limited series of custom heat transfer tees and totes, a photobooth, local food and beer, homemade cookies, freshly squeezed lemonade, and great company. Bringing the community together with local vendors and homemade snacks is core to Pigment's mission. Supporting and Partnering with local artists was Pigment’s first love.

Summer Solstice Party 2019

Pigment is a series of Southern California retail stores specializing in color-curated items from both local and international vendors.

The annual Summer Solstice event was created by Pigment to celebrate the beginning of summer with the local community. This year, Pigment partnered with Glitter Guide to celebrate their 8th birthday.

This year’s theme was inspired by 70’s rock/music posters, evident in the typography and colors of the marketing materials, signage, photobooth backdrop and graphics. The style was also reflected in new custom postcards and heat transfers.
